Ah, but look where it got you! You should be very proud, Vero. You had a dream brewing& your ingenuity, knowledge & talent brought it to fruition. You are indeed a self-made woman!!

Ah, you are too kind. Dreams "brewing" is what gets us up every morning and keeps us going. Merci Barbara.

Rick is a local treasure in Seattle. It was years before I learned that he was an accomplished pianist. He did a video in his home pairing classical music with classical paintings. It was wonderful. You are working with a great company. Enjoy your stay in Seattle.

I can confirm Rick is indeed a talented musician. He played for us, tour guides and staff once in his house, when he invited us to join him.

And, he was also a school teacher. I bet he was a great teacher. Lucky students!

I‘ll be watching Monday night. Can‘t wait!

Your story is so inspiring, Véro. I‘ll never forget how you helped so many of us through 2020. Merci.

(I‘ve attended those Edmonds travel classes, too. Enjoyed them all.)

This was going smooth filling out my name until I got to my handle! Then nothing satisfied it!! So I am happy to be handleless. Is there such a word? You are a wonderful tour guide Vero,

Quelle bonne memoire. I have always felt a connection to Rick Steves as well. We are about the same age and made our first trip to Europe in the same year, unbeknownst to each other. In the years I was unable to travel to Europe I binged on his PBS travel shows and DVDs. I continue to use his guidebooks when I travel and find them most useful. I used them in May for England and will use them next month for Czech Republic and Poland. Cheers! Merci.

Rick is lucky to have a big (and faithful) following. I see his books so often as I travel around Paris and the rest of France. Merci et à bientôt DL!

What a great story, and of course being from the PNW, I know all of the references. I can understand why you like Edmonds! It's really interesting to catch up with your life.

Yes, it's been quite the week, emotional at times. It's not always easy to go down memory lane. Overall, it's been wonderful to get reacquainted with friends and favorite locations (even if some have really changed in just a few years.) A bientôt Betty.

This demonstrates how courageous and determined you were and are now! I picked you out immediately and also close to Lisa and Rick! Lisa is doing tours for Sarah Murdoch now ! What a great story ! Some of my friends also take a break from social media — it’s healthy😊

As I've said before, I totally admire your ability to pivot as needed and make it a success! We have a lot in common, not only choosing to live in beautiful Tours. And I am offering an open invitation for lunch, apéro or dinner here in the Cloiîre de St Martin when you return. PS, I once got a job at the United Nations in Geneva by 'stalking' the boss. And, my daughter, a bilingual editor and translator, was the editor of Rick Steves' French guide books.

Thank you for the invitation Mary. I'll be in touch after I return. Fun connection with Rick Steves through your daughter. Those guide books are the best out there (I know that for a fact because I use them too when I travel.)

I love your story. I am also a Rick Steves fan. When I start planning a trip to EU the first thing I do is buy Rick’s book. I really enjoyed your videos of Paris and France. Thanks so much for sharing all your knowledge with the rest of the world. Maybe we can meet on my next trip to France in September. Merci beaucoup

Bonjour Raquel. Thank you for the kind words. Glad you enjoy my virtual tours. There are quite a few waiting on YouTube and I keep adding new ones whenever I get a chance. I'll be traveling in September, for Rick and for myself too but you never know. A bientôt.
