Oh yes, Tours as the place where the purest French is spoken! I hadn't thought about that for a long time!
I think the under 35 generation is forcing the French to rethink their little career boxes. My daughters have many friends who have already held several vastly different jobs, even those with specific degrees. One of these friends graduated from engineering school, worked as a public works engineer for a few years, then decided to go to medical school! She's just finishing up her final residencies. Others have gone from high-pressure business jobs to becoming artisans. And of course we see "reconversions" to farming -- and out of it.
I hope to join you on future trips!
What a great idea, Vero - I wish I was at a level with speaking French that I could do it too. I bet it’ll be a wonderful experience for everyone!
Thank you very much Pam!
So exciting Vero!
Happy you share my excitement Madame June!
Ça a l’air si bon!
Good luck, this sounds like a great idea!
This is exciting news. I am looking forward to hearing more about Intensive French classes in Tours on Sunday. Thank you for all you do.
Merci Pamela. “Immersive” not “intensive” - There’s a difference ;-) A dimanche !
Oh yes! I’m thinking it will be intensive for me.

Quite right and that’s a good thing. “Reconversions” are definitely more mainstream now in France than they were a few decades ago.
I suspect there will be a long waiting list!! ❤️ Je te dis M! pour ta nouvelle aventure, congratulations!
Merci beaucoup Leyla. C’est très gentil.
Your friendly witty style of writing always makes me smile and want more !
You are very kind. Stay tuned. More “Lettres de France” headed your way.
Good luck with the new venture!
Merci beaucoup David !
